Would love to see a picture of your quilt when you are finished. And how could your husband have a problem with the PoD quilt on the wall?
Paper piecing is still a bit daunting to me.

I am 31 and I've been meaning to make a wall hanging... haven't make it, yet.
"Only God is perfect, my quilts don't have to be!"
they definitely go on walls!!! and they can be as small as a postcard if you're in to making minis. I pin my newly finished tops to the wall(s), all over, so as I'm walking around I get a glance from different angles and lighting, helps me decide how to quilt it. it's easier to take a pic of them that way too. quick tip, take a strip of wood(where you want to put it determines the length), say a 1x3, and mount(screws are best but you should pre-drill a hole first) wooden clothes pins every few inches along the board. mount the board to the wall up as high as you can, then you can easily clip a quilt to it. for the sake of the quilt, you want enough clips to keep it from sagging and stretching.
You'll have to tell your husband that he received some bad info.,because Jenny would not have made a tutorial about quilt sleeves if they are not meant to be hung on the wall.

I'm 34 and not a big fan of hanging quilts on walls in my house. I've seen them in other peoples houses and they look great. Maybe I just haven't found a pattern that would go with my decor yet, but I'm still not sure I would hang it up. I make quilts to be used and loved, not just looked at from a distance. I made my daughters kindergarten teacher a handprint quilt with all the kids hand prints on it, it was awesome. When she opened it up the teacher in the classroom next door said she needed to get a thing to hang the quilt on the wall and I immediately said no, she needed to use it. But that's just my opinion, if you want to hang a quilt on the wall then do it, who cares what other people think, it's your house!
PS- maybe my quilts just have too many mistakes and imperfections that I don't want to display them. You don't notice all the imperfections when they are crumpled up on the couch keeping someone warm!
First, welcome to the forums.

I am not a twenty something...I am a few years older, but I think quilts do belong on walls if they are made for walls. I wouldn't hang my bedspread, but I made a quilt specifically for my wall, measured to be sure it would be the right size. Tell your hubby to look up wall quilts and he will find boocoos of examples of beautiful works of art made out of fabric rather than canvas with paint.
