Now, will you also call the guys in white to come take me to The Home?

If they are not to be hanging on walls, don't come visit me. I have 5 in my living room, 2 in my dining room, 3 in my bedroom, and one in the kitchen. They are not huge quilts, but are wall hangings. I put a lot of time and effort into them and I am going to enjoy them.

I think any quilt can go on a wall if it goes with the look you want. It can be an artsy quilt, modern, traditional...it doesn't matter. It's your house. I have a traditional one hanging it my living room and get compliments on it often.

This one was going in my sewing room. The problem is my sewing room is my front room, the front door and the garage door enter/exit in my room. Everyone gets to see my creativity in progress.

I think I will try just tacking up the top and seeing what he thinks. Maybe he just needs to see it. If he still doesn't like it, I guess that puts the breaks on making any wall hangings for our bedroom. I would describe our style as traditional trying to be modern (with the occasional geeky flare). So I figured a geeky modern wall hanging would fit right in....

Thank you all for your advice.

I'm in my 40's, a bit older than you'd asked for...but have had a quilt hanging on the stair wall for about 10 years. I love it and get lots of compliments. At Christmas I change it out with a Christmas quilt

If you are looking for a neat geeky wall quilt and are a Harry Potter fan, there is a free pattern at Craftsy.com

Just look for "The Project of Doom" in the pattern section. It's a bookcase!

Quilts are art. Do what you like.
I have quilts on walls. I love quilts and how many people see your quilts on the beds?
So if you like your quilt be proud to show it.

I say quilts go wherever you want to put them. I'm going to be making a Christmas wall hanging....it will, of course, go on the wall. I love the maple leaf/log cabin that I made and told DH that I might make a smaller version and hang it up somewhere.

I actually have 2 book ones going (I love books, can you tell?). It's the PoD that's supposed to be going in my sewing room. I love the website fandominstitches.com
