Re: Cost of LA quilting
When I learned how expensive LA quilting was, I chose to take the FMQ classes, get the right equipment, & quilt things myself. There was an initial outlay of money, but I feel it was cost effective. However, I don't quilt anything larger than a lap size. I might try a twin, now that I have a machine with a wider harp. Queen size definitely goes to the LAer. The "Freedom Star" quilt (see my albums) was a gift, & I wanted it done right, so I was willing to pay to have it done. With batting, thread & quilting, it cost $214. Now that there is so much free info. on the internet about quilting, one can learn to do so much. JCY
