    What a great story!!
I have several that fit this category.
anything less than a year would be considered a WIP - Work In Progress - and not a UFO to me!!
I have a 20 yr old and a 32 yr old UFO's of my own.
then I also have 2 hand pieced UFO's from my grandmother - one completed top is a double wedding ring made from 30's feedsack material and the other is appliqued blocks with ladies in gowns and parasols. Not sure how old they are but they are all by hand.
    Happy Quilting!

I am usually pretty good about finishing what I start, but I do actually have a king size top that I need to do something with. Maybe rip some of it apart and turn it into 4 smaller quilts. I made that top and another for niece in law to decide between 2 for her mom for a gift. She picked the other one. I finished it (hand quilted) and just put the other one aside. I went for so long not quilting after Gabe was hurt than I just didn't think about it much. Then when I started again, I mostly made smaller quilts to donate. Other than the smaller charity quilts, I have only made 3 twins and a full in the past couple of years. Time to get that out and do something with it.
It's yours! I'll finish it & send it to you for the PICU group. Hospitals are always so cold, & the worry & grief in children's hospitals always makes them feel even colder to me. Even if someone cuddles in for just a little while that would be a good home for it.

Since I have only been doing this less than two years, I do not have many sitting around. I have about 5 or 6 needing quilting, two to finish piecing, and two I am currently working on. Of those to be quilted, they are all from this year. They will be done before this year is up. Maybe lol

About 20 years ago I bought some antique blocks, I am guessing they were made pre-1930. I had to make a couple of blocks to have enough, but I ended up making a small quilt that I gave as a wedding present. The couple loved it, and still have it hanging on a wall in their house. That was one old UFO!

My oldest UFO is as old as dirt! Serously, I finished up a few UFOs this year, but I have a scottie wall hanging that was quilted and I ripped out the quilting and it's on hold for now. It's probably 20 years old or so.
