    Default OnLine Ordering?

I live in a rural area so most of my shopping is done online. It seems to be getting near impossible to get what I order and in a timely manor. Shop A has shipping problems, Shop B is sending the wrong amounts and I have to fight to get what I ordered and paid for, Shop C has just done a bait and switch routine(ordered a set amount of yardage at a set price. They sent half and said the price was mis-stated!) I will be sending that back at their expense just on principle alone. Guess I will drive a couple of hours to shop. At least I know what I am getting!
    Just ranting, thanks for listening.

Maybe we can give shops that we like and had good luck with

I have really good luck with etsy shops. https://www.etsy.com/shop/AllegroFab...hopheader-name

I like this store too. Fabric Shack

My go to online best ever are Missouri Star and Fat quarter Shop. Cost a few dollars more sometimes but well worth every penny. Also cant get better deals and shipping costs. They both have awesome deals and shipping.

I have ordered from dozens of online shops and only ever had trouble with one. Turned out the woman got sick and hubby tried to step in and take over (not very well, sadly). Most places I've dealt with, they have a comments box and you can let them know if they are short what to substitute or to cancel that item, etc. A few of my favorites are Thousands of Bolts, Fabric Shack, Stitch-n-Frame, Quilt Fabric Closeouts, Over the Rainbow.

Before I try out a new (to me) shop, I will frequently email them a question to see how quickly I get a reply. If I don't get an answer within a couple of days, I shop elsewhere. I have found that the ones I mention above generally ship same or next day, priority mail. I usually have my order within 4-5 days and each has always been correct. Customer Service have always been helpful and friendly.

To the list above I would add Pinkchalkfabrics.com. Excellent customer service and shipping very prompt.

In addition, I've always had good service and quality goods from Fabrics.com and equilter.com
MSQ* of course, and a few shops on Etsy.

I've honestly always had pretty good luck ordering online. If I'm in doubt about a new place, I'll ask here on the forum.

I've ordered from at least 5 shops on etsy. Everyone of them sent my order out that day or the next business day, depending on what time I get my order in and I've always been pleased with the fabric and their customer service/communication. I've also ordered from the following: M*, fatquartershop.com, fabric.com, twobeesfabric.com, redroosterquilts.com, reproductionfabrics.com, uniquespool.com, crafttown.com and a couple more that I can't recall the names of. I can honestly say that I've never had a bad experience. However...if you are needing a particular color or you need to match, the colors you see on the monitor may not hold true. I have found a shop on etsy (WarmKittyQuilts) that will send a free sample if you are needing to match something.

I've also gotten fabric from Connecting Threads and Keepsake Quilting on line. No problems there!!!

Thisi s one of the reasons I don't like shopping on line for anything! In addition to the colors not being the same or it doesn't feel as described. However, I have bought from a few...mentioned above and Green Fairy Fabrics. I have not had any problem with them. CT even sent me a replacement when I complained about the red not being "red"..but more of an orangish red. They sent me another red "cherry red" but it to was more orange than red. But red is a problem child in colors anyway. But, they sent the replacement without even asking if I wanted it or asked me to return the other one. Check out some of the stores mentioned here. I don't do Etsy so I can't say about that other than Etsey are little personal shops by people like us..they want our business and know that they have to give near perfect customer service or their little business will be shut down. Bigger places...don't have that much a worry in that area.

My go to: fatquartershop and M. FQS has a wonderful website, browsing there is really fun. Their service is excellent, so is M's. Both have top quality fabric and frequent sales. What more could you ask for!
