    Default Eyelashes!

I just finished FMQ a Christmas table runner and it looks great on top but I turned it over and it is full of eyelashes! How disappointing! Read on line that my hands are going faster than my foot. Anyone else have this happen. It was going to be a gift but I guess it will be mine instead and I will try it again for the gift. At least it turned out cute on top and I can use it and not feel like I should just chuck it.

That's been happening to me lately. I guess I just need to slow my hands down.

Eyelashes are very easy to rip out, Barb. Try it before giving up, practice with your speed a bit, change everything out - thread, bobbin, needle, clean, and practice again and then you will do your 'gift' perfectly.

I had eyelashes when attempting to adjust the top tension on my Juki - I went to the positive side of the dial and ended up with beautiful eyelashes longer than mine - at least it was on a practice sandwich. Maybe its just a tension issue? Along with trying all that Sandy said.

When I first started I made eyelashes too. I adjusted my tension to a little higher number, but that didn't really do it. Once I slowed down and worked the hand/foot speed together it made a big difference. It probably shows up most on the curves. As Sandy said, it is usually pretty easy to rip out if you want to still use it as a gift. : )

I ripped out a lot of eyelashes. I had to slow down my hands around curves especially. I have not had them again lately since I have been doing more fmq. So. I think practice and doing more of it helps too
