    Default 4,000 orders...OMG

As everyone knows the 12 days of Christmas DD have been fantastic. What everyone may not know is that on last friday they had 4,000 orders for M*. Now I don't know about anyone else but i think that is a lot of orders and M* does an amazing job about getting things out. When i called about a specific order because i was concerned as it was the first one i ordered and all my other orders have shipped, but this particular one was a Christmas gift and she told me that they had 4,000 orders on that day....well I laughed. I wasn't laughing at them but at my expectations that they only had a few orders that day, say 100-200. She then precedes to tell me that they are caught up , It does make me wonder though , how many people actually work in the shipping area?

so if you are awaiting a special package from M* don't be so impatient like i was and give it some time.

Thank you for posting this, I was worried because I'd ordered the daily deal on the 29th and hadn't heard anything. Now I can understand why!

They are no longer the little Mom & Pop store they started out as. They need to start doing some outside recruiting to bring in employees from other areas to keep up with their growth. It is very nice to see them do so much for an area that was in such dire straights before they started.

    Dear Kellie,
thanks a lot for this info. I ordered some things about 10 days ago and thought ... slowly they could send it. I was in the same oppinion as you ... about 200 orders per day .... hahahaha.

Lisa you are right, they are not longer a "fish-and-Chips- stand", as we here in Switzerland call the Little stores with one or two employees. Please forgive me to use such a word in the same sentence with our beloved MSQC, I have the highest estimation what this good People are doing and giving to the Region they are living.

Hopefully to get my parcel befor Christmas, like all of you orderers

I was thinking about this the other day.
I wonder how many DD orders come in, on a slow day versus a 'fast moving' day.
It's got to be incredible, because their popularity is skyrocketing!
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

You've got to admit that M^'s growth....in a very shirt time....has been nothing short of phenomenal.... And I think we should all be proud of our part in the success of this wonderful family, and their business...

I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel a personal connection with Jenny and her family... Jenny just has the ability to draw people in, and make each one feel good about their quilting.... I know I wouldn't be enjoying quilting so much, if it weren't for her. She made me want to quilt again, and showed me how to make complex looking quilts without doing intricate piecing. She made quilting fun for me.....in spite if my poor vision. Once you've seen Jenny's tutorials, nobody else's quite fills the bill. It 's so easy to learn from her.

So.... I really don't mind that my orders take a little more time now.... I'm just happy for the Doan family's success. They are literally living the American dream, and taking us along for the ride...

I just keep in mind that when I place an order it is gonna take a while to get here. I find that if it wasn't for M* I would miss out on a lot of great fabric collections.

I have to laugh about the personal connection thing. Jenny is wonderful and I secretly (not a secret anymore) wish that my Mom was more like her. She is a great teacher and has perfect personality for what she does. She oozes enjoyment over her work as it should be for everyone in their work. I think it is obvious that it has rubbed off on her whole family. I know that finding her tutorials has changed my life. I will always be thankful for that.

Personal connection. If I called or walked into a business and was not treated well I wouldn't go back to that business no matter how good the prices. So it is absolutely true that when you walk in that store or call and they recognize you or your name or your voice it feels good and goes far and above normal customer service. Bottom line it is good business.

And besides all of these reasons.....I ALWAYS have some sort of personal note written on my orders when I open them up along with all of my goodies.
