We are forecast to get 5-7 niches if SNOW! That 's a lot for us. The whole weekend looks bad.
At the present we are getting what we here in Cincinnati call a "wintry mix"...so. Not mind.
I'm excited... The only problem is that the smaller of out two Chihuahuas...the one in my avatar... will get lost! I will have to clear a spot for him.... I can't find their sweaters.... So they will have to be quick....
All of our schools are already closed...... Thankfully, my DD never works on Fridays, so she will be home eithe her four boys.... She may not be so thrilled....
I will spend the day working on my very small bereavement quilts. I got all of my baby flannel out lady night.. I am very pleased to be a part of this effort.... I also want to find a local group that does the same thing.
I haven't checked much on the week-end weather but it looks like we're in for some nasty stuff on Sunday and Monday. We are supposed to be getting more snow today but not sure how much...seems like the weather changes from minute to minute. I needed some meds refilled so did that and will pick them up on my way home in case I can't get out on Monday.
I'm praying for the people in the UK with all that flooding.
Everyone, wherever you are, stay safe!

Shirley aka buckeyequilter I work to support a sewing habit that I don't have time for, because I work!
Sandy..Sewing is a great way to spend a snowy day. We got 6-7 inches of snow last night on top of ice. Jeff went out and shoveled an area for the Girls. Our dogs are short legged and just sink into the snow. Olive is a hoot to watch. She moves like she's swimming in slow motion. Our dear Molly (we lost her this April) loved nothing more than a big snow. She would put her now under the snow and plow. When she came in she always had huge snowballs in her whiskers and snowball feet.
Stay safe. We have had at least 8 inches of the white stuff here so far and still more in the forecast I believe. It was funny watching Gator in the snow last night... He was wading through it past his belly.. Pugs, at least mine hates the snow. TarButt on the other hand was romping around, biting the snow and having a blast.

just a dusting here so far. temp is 32. Hoping this fizzles out some. DS is headed back to Alabama tomorrow and he goes down 71 and picks up 75 in Cincinnati. I will worry about him till he calls to let me know he is out of it. probably around Tenn, as it sounds like Kentucky 's got a lot too.
I am not sure how I feel about this but since my dogs are snow lovers and huge and can handle and in fact enjoy temperatures that are as below zero as we will ever see it isn't relative to my family. I saw on Facebook a woman who sets up a tent with the bottom cut out of it in her back yard in the winter so that her Chi's can go out and go into the tent to do their business. Maybe it is something to think about?
I hope you have a great sewing day and do believe if you are not going to be out playing in it or baking that sewing is the best way to spend a snowy day.

Have a great day!
Isn 't it something how memories of lost pets can be so comforting?
We lost two dogs the same day last spring.... Not the first time for us, but that didn 'to seem to matter.... I still start to call their names when I call to our little guys (outside ). We had them both for about fourteen years....
I am enjoying my Snow Day".... Fired up Judy, and we have been humming along...
