Re: Winter Storm Warning!
I haven't checked much on the week-end weather but it looks like we're in for some nasty stuff on Sunday and Monday. We are supposed to be getting more snow today but not sure how much...seems like the weather changes from minute to minute. I needed some meds refilled so did that and will pick them up on my way home in case I can't get out on Monday.
I'm praying for the people in the UK with all that flooding.
Everyone, wherever you are, stay safe!
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
Sandy..Sewing is a great way to spend a snowy day. We got 6-7 inches of snow last night on top of ice. Jeff went out and shoveled an area for the Girls. Our dogs are short legged and just sink into the snow. Olive is a hoot to watch. She moves like she's swimming in slow motion. Our dear Molly (we lost her this April) loved nothing more than a big snow. She would put her now under the snow and plow. When she came in she always had huge snowballs in her whiskers and snowball feet.
Have a great day!
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
Stay safe. We have had at least 8 inches of the white stuff here so far and still more in the forecast I believe. It was funny watching Gator in the snow last night... He was wading through it past his belly.. Pugs, at least mine hates the snow. TarButt on the other hand was romping around, biting the snow and having a blast.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
Stay warm. The arctic air is well below zero. When a temp in the 50s is the day's high in Phoenix, it's cold. The farther north, the colder.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
We got barely an inch! Dodged the bullet!
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
Nothing here except cold. EVERYONE stay SAFE!!!!!
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
just a dusting here so far. temp is 32. Hoping this fizzles out some. DS is headed back to Alabama tomorrow and he goes down 71 and picks up 75 in Cincinnati. I will worry about him till he calls to let me know he is out of it. probably around Tenn, as it sounds like Kentucky 's got a lot too.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
I am not sure how I feel about this but since my dogs are snow lovers and huge and can handle and in fact enjoy temperatures that are as below zero as we will ever see it isn't relative to my family. I saw on Facebook a woman who sets up a tent with the bottom cut out of it in her back yard in the winter so that her Chi's can go out and go into the tent to do their business. Maybe it is something to think about?
I hope you have a great sewing day and do believe if you are not going to be out playing in it or baking that sewing is the best way to spend a snowy day.
Stay warm!

Isn 't it something how memories of lost pets can be so comforting?
We lost two dogs the same day last spring.... Not the first time for us, but that didn 'to seem to matter.... I still start to call their names when I call to our little guys (outside ). We had them both for about fourteen years....
I am enjoying my Snow Day".... Fired up Judy, and we have been humming along...

I can actually envision their antics.... You stay safe, too...

I hope your husband stays safe...and warm..... From what I understand, the heaviest snow will be along the 71 corridor... Right where I live... The Mason/Lebanon area.... It just started snowing... Love it, but I wasn't everyone to be safe.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
We got the mix all night kept changing from freezing rain to snow and back again. by the time i left work it had changed back to snow. cars were covered in a crusty mess of snow and ice. we got maybe 2 inches on the ground.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
We got 12-14" Wednesday and it's still here as the temp only got in the low 20s yesterday and in the single digits last night. We'll be getting more tomorrow night and Sunday. Our little Yorkie uses potty pads in the garage when the weather is too bad to go outside.
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
Lisa.... That woman has a good idea! The bigger chi has very long legs...more like a Fox Terrier.. So he will be pretty much OK. Finn, the deerhead one has short little legs... Poor baby.
My sister had a dog . Marcie,, that refused to come in when it snowed... She loved it... She was a big dogl...looked like a Husky. She souks sit near a fav tree, and enjoy the snow...
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
We got 9 inches of the white stuff between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon. My two Poms absolutely love going out and running around in it, would stay out for hours if I let them. I worry about frozen feet. Woke up to -5 this morning... lovely, suppose to be a high of 1 tomorrow, I will be out Christmas shopping with the daughter!
Re: Winter Storm Warning!
We are still getting heavy snow... I think it will be 6-8 inches.
I carried ?little Finn to a grassy spot by the house....this was before I found his blue knit sweater... The pour lithely guy was terrified, and began to shake with fear and the cold.. I scooped him up, and wrapped him in my DH's flannel I was wearing.... He held n to me for dear life.... He was glad to get inside.
Spencer, the bigger Chi...he looks more like a Fox Terrier... Isn 't thrilled by the snow, but doesn't seem to bother him too much.
Keep warm everyone!
