    Default WARNING

I belong to another forum here in the UK and recently there was an abusive response to one member's message. We all thought it was from another member but found out later that she had used a computer at her local library and did not log off from the forum. She is mortified that her name has been used to send abusive messages not just on one forum but others as well. She has learnt from the experience, to log off when using public computers, change pass words regularly and her sons are now buying her an iPad for Christmas

That's a very good reminder for those who use public computers.

Sad lesson, but a good reminder for any of us that might log in on a public computer. But she is getting an Ipad, so that is a happy ending, right?

Long live the trusty iPad.... Mine...Buddy....goes everywhere with me!

I once had my email hacked... Someone sent pleas for money to be sent to "me ".... Thankfully, everyone knew right away that I had not sent the email.... I did end up changing email servers.... What a hassle..

Thanks for the reminder to be careful....

My DH chewed me out (a few years ago) about unsubscribing to an email. It was an email that neither of us had asked for. He told me that since I "answered" the email that meant ours was a valid email and we would be getting a lot of spam.

So - if you did not ask for certain types of email - just send it to your spam folder.

Also, I have noticed when one of my friends get their email hacked we get a lot of email from them with strange subjects.

So sorry about your friend. I'm always paranoid making sure I'm completely logged out of an ATM before I walk/drive away.
