12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
1. You know its bad but you do it anyway....2 DD orders in less than 24 hours.....enough said on that one.
2. You use the excuse to go to the ladies to stop and check out the DD... after midnight CST....
3. You know for a fact how many precuts you have on your shelf but since it is such a GREAT deal...see #1
4. You anxiously await tomorrows DD at 1:09 am wondering if it will be sooooo good as the previous two DD....
Now if any of the above four things have have happened to you don't feel too bad just know that you have a fellow passenger in your boat with you and that you saved so money by thinking ahead...( even though you don't know what you will do with a second mini tumbler template....it was free).
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
I am happy to say my budget is sooo tight at the moment I have to wait till Friday payday to buy even one more thing. No dipping into savings allowed. Whew!
But it is killing me........
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
Oh man.... why o why did I agree to a Fabric Fast THIS time of year???
And I can not pass up reading the cute story, THEN must look at the DD! Wonder if they can Brown Paper bag it and send "from a friend" :icon_heh: so hubby wouldn't know?
(((Hugs))) We will get through these 12 days, a little broke but with a TON of too good to pass up... ok must look at tonight's

Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
I'm having DD regret. I wanted to buy the Edges jelly roll when it was the DD (maybe a week ago?) because the colors would work well in my repainted/new furniture added living room. But I let it go, and now wish I had bought one. Do they ever repeat the DD? I can justify buying it if it's on sale. Sure I can. :icon_tup:
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
Yes and No about repeating the DD. Sometimes the same fabric is offered in a different cut - instead of a charm pack a layer cake, something like that.
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
I feel your pain! And - do you really know how may precuts you have? If you do, you are way more organized than I am!
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
I must admit that I discovered M* in 2010 and used to awaken at 3:00-3:30 am and get my DD fix before work. Most of the time I did not know what I purchased since I would hit the add to cart button and pay before my three cups of coffee but it was fun wondering what was being delivered in those packages. It has been 3 years and I've grown a bit wiser, sleep later, and have become a bit more selective in my choices since (unfortunately) many of my early DDs are still waiting to be made into something beautiful. DDs are addictive and I don't think there is a cure.
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
well snowbird if you ever decide to get rid of those early daily deal that are still hanging around ...my snail mail addy is in my user notes....just sayin...and if i don't like think someone in my quilt group will.....
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
Heck if I could just buy the DD and be done I'd be happy. But NOOOOOO, I have to add other things to the cart before checking out lol.
Well it does help keep us all together here :)

That does sometimes happen.... I have two Ellie Ann charm ops is, and am hoping for either a jelly roll or a layer cake to come up.
DD's are dangerous to my tiny budget.... I'm hopeless, though.... It's the first thing I check out every morning. It doesn't come at midnight here... Not sure what time, actually.
Oh... Let's just admit it.... We are ALL hooked on the DD....whether we can buy it, if not... We HAVE to know what it us... Every day...

Honey chile, I'm new here (as in only a few hours) and already I can so feel you on all four accounts. Geeszh, guess I'll have to get me an away-from-the-farm job to be able to purchase all the way kewl stuff I KNOW is on the horizon.
Sally forth and purchase fabric. :icon_wave:

Hello there Homie! (I'm from NE Ohio) :icon_wave::icon_wave:. Just what I need another Internet thing to be addicted to, LOL - finding out the DD and then figuring out how to get DH to see the need; oh yeah, the need.
Oh wait! I'm new to quilting so OF COURSE there is a need for more fabric. Didn't he read the sign in my sewing room, "Whoever dies with the most fabric wins!"
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
Like someone else said....I'm becoming a tracking number junkie. I just checked to see when the 2 packages that are still out will arrive. One should be there when I get home and another tomorrow. Well I just couldn't pass up a free template AND thimble.

I was the same as you for a long time! Now, when I order, I almost feel like I do when I eat too much chocolate! Overstuffed! Yet, I just fell for the Black Friday DD, and got it today, I do love it!
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
And these DD which are sew irresistible and difficult for us to resist, they make GREAT stocking stuffers for DD and DIL and anyone else you know that could use them.
Sew I have intentionally ordered extra thimbles and templates and charm packs just for that.
Then with the DH ask about me spending sew much money at M* , I can tell him, I was getting Christmas presents for me and other people...:icon_tup::icon_razz:
Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
I used to check the DD every morning after breakfast, now it is before I even get out of bed. I have my tablet next to the bed. Always tell hubby I am checking the weather for today! Which I do after checking the DD. I think the current 12 days of Christmas is addictive, have to have that story for each day. I am holding out for the best deal of the 12 days. Which will most likely be one of the ones I pass on.

Hi Lyric and welcome from Arizona! Good to see you here and yes, no way I would count what I already have from M*QS but I can guess it will make 30 quilts or more? Hope God gives me enough time and life to make them all hahaha
Check out the groups too - Fabric Swaps, Charity Sewing, Sew a Longs and more fun stuff
Glad to see you here and Enjoy

Re: 12 days of Christmas DD is killin me
Ahhh found ya! Still a good read the second time around. Which reminds me . . . I need to see the DD for today.
WOWSERS, 30 quilts!!! As I am working on my first one that is tantamount to a million quilts from where I stand, LOL. How exciting to have all that fabric before you at a given moment, say where you have nothing to do (yeah right), you can go shopping in your own craft room. Hey, if you need another girlfriend I'll apply. Would love to come over and "help" you start a quilt, ha ha.
