Default My husband is getting too smart for my own good!

As I am out in the kitchen making homemade navy bean soup w/more of the leftovers, I hear the doorbell. Well, Mr. you know who gets to the door way before me and my gimpy foot could ever hope to and he comes prancing into the kitchen singing 'You've got a jelly roll....you've got a jelly roll!' I look at him and ask how he knows that.

'Duh, you get several a week!' Clearly, he exaggerates! I might get one a week. But this one is ooohhhhhhhhh so pretty!!!! It was the one I said I would not buy, then I broke down and bought it before it ran out!!! I am so happy to add it to my collection! One day I will make something with them!!!!

I haven't counted mine....but I don't think I am up to 14 yet (at least of any one type of cut - jelly roll, layer cake, etc) - but there might be 14 or more of charm packs, but I ain't countin'!!!

    Have fun creating!

I'm not just buying fabric, I am supporting the economy...

A bad day in the sewing room is better than a good day at the office.

Mr Daisy talks about 'stash', 'scraps', 'layering' etc.

A couple of weeks ago he had a friend round and there was a stream of bad language erupted from my work room. His friend was worried something had happened to me but Mr D said 'oh don't fret, I expect she is FMQ ing' (using the initials). His friend said........eyes wide open......what the h*ll is FMQing?

Not sure says Mr D but it causes a lot of swearing.

    Hilarious!

If I used one jelly roll per week in 2014, I would still have left overs. I can't bring myself to actually state the exact number I counted the other day in my stash!

Mr. D is a hoot. My DH now recognizes M* packages and tells me I've got more fabric when it arrives. Now that I'm at home more, I beat him to the mailbox most days...hee, hee.

Oh, Daisy-----I am laughing and crying at the same time! How funny! I must remember to share this with my hubby, who has been struggling to learn all the new lingo with quilting! Too funny!!!!

I've only got a couple jelly rolls but I've got a lot of charm squares and quite a few fat quarters.

DH got mine out of the mailbox today and just handed it to me. I opened it and it was the Electric Feather JR.....absolutely beautiful. He said "that's some pretty fabric" and I said good because I have another one coming.
