    Default Trip to M*

I thought I would share some pictures from my trip to M* this afternoon. My DD and I had lots of fun and as you can see, we bought some pretty fabric. Amy is now all set to make her very first quilt, a gift for a friend having her first baby. Hopefully between Amy's visit home for Thanksgiving and then again at Christmas, she will get it done.

Turns out that the store is open on Mondays. I guess it used to be closed on Mondays and it still says that in some places on the website. Just thought I would pass that on in case anyone was planning a Monday visit.

I saw Jenny in the backroom, she was filming today. Everyone was very nice and helped us figure out fabric amounts, suggested fabrics, etc. I can't wait to go back.

Klasien, I mentioned a forum friend from the Netherlands and they immediately knew who you were. They said Hello!

DD #4 came home from college today and I surprised her with a rag quilt made with her school colors, she loves it.

Amy and I are off to watch the D9P tutorial.

Karen, did you WAVE when you went by my house? Sorry if I didn't get to wave back.

Isn't the shop the greatest experience in the world??????? At least it is a lot more impressive than Disney World.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

    It is 'my' Disney World.
So glad you had a great time. Aren't they the best. Now you have to plan on going again when the forum has their retreat in Oct.

Yeah you got a great haul and met all the lovely folks that work there! Yes it is the Disneyland for quilters :-) Thanks for the heads up about it being OPEN on Monday!

Good luck with your DP9, you can do it with Thanksgiving and Christmas, no problems! My grandson (14 now) helped me make his quilt in 3 days... He sewed 1/2 of the top and I did the other - we had fun and good memories to share.

    Enjoy

What a wonderful trip! I plan to make that trip some day. You got some great fabrics! Have fun doing the dp9 - it is on my list to do, but think the square in a square will be next. Sharing your love of quilting with your daughter has to be awesome! No daughters here, hoping for a daughter in law some day and that she will at least like fabric shopping!
