It's my last 12 hours in Europe and I have yet to find a quilt store. My sister and I are on a search for one! Wish us luck!

Mission accomplished! Followed directions, took public transportation, translated the language, found out we walked right past the place when we got to this big mall! So we took a tour of the mall, finally found our store, and
I got five lovely cuts of European fabric! Can't say it was a bargain, still haven't mastered these currency exchanges ( we're in Prague, they don't use Euros, but crowns!). So proud and happy! Be back in the states Tuesday evening, barring transportation woes!
Fabric isn't cheap over here, although I think Prague is a little less pricey than, say, Stockholm. I hope you had a great trip!!!
I looked everywhere on my last trip and finally bought a pillowcase so I would have something cotton to use in a quilt when I got home.
We visited my son when he was stationed in Japan. He called his Realtor and she gave us directions to three stores. We ended up on the 7th floor of a building that turned out to be a department store. I found some cotton that have waterfowl on them..they look Japanese on them. I shut my eyes when I paid for them as it was pricy.
The kimono fabric from the kimono shop was priceless. I watched this little old man sitting on the floor in traditional dress, sewing by hand. I wanted one so bad. They were expressly made for you. There I didn't even dare ask the price.
I remember when we lived in Germany and I was buying fabric for a formal. Pure gold! But boy did I look sharp. Ahhh.
Fabric is the memories of our lives.
