Re: Must find European quilt fabric!
I'm so glad you found fabric! Making a quilt out of those memories will be treasured.
My daughter is seeing quite a bit of the world with work. She's asked if there's anything I want from the places she goes. I told her fabric. So far I have pieces from France, Japan, and Australia. All the colors happen to blend well together so far. My plan is to embroider the name of each country on sashing strips between the 9 inch blocks I'll cut out. The only problem is that I'll have to wait quite a few years for her to finish her overseas assignments.

The clerk at WM told me one time that every time a certain lady visits here from the UK, she brings an empty suitcase & stocks up on fabric while in the USA. JCY

NO! It was freezing and windy, But I had my warm silk longjohns on every day, plus warm socks, scarf, hat and mittens, and wasn't intolerably cold. We went on walking city tours every day, ranging from 2-5 hours long, of course there is plenty of hot chocolate and "spirits" to warm you from the inside!
