My sewing machine still isn't right. It absolutely does not do decorative stitches and have them look decent on the back side. Which means I can't use them as top stitching on quilts. And the bobbin seems to be dragging. It goes fine for a bit, then drags, then hangs up, then kind of snaps free. Don't know if that makes sense, but it's an audible sound. My nephew was visiting The Cave and heard it, asked what was wrong. Periodically when it snaps free, the top thread jumps up and wraps around the joint that moves the needle up and down. That's a joy to untangle, let me tell you! DH volunteered me to make two quilts for an auction and they're due by Wednesday. I tried using just a simple straight stitch to top stitch the binding in place (something I would NEVER do except I was trying to save time). The thread broke about 5 times around a 40x40 baby quilt. I ended up having to rip it all out and hand stitch because it looked so bad. Today I was working on the lap quilt, had the top about 75% complete when the thread jumped up inside again. I walked away from my sewing room. I'll be calling the sewing machine repair man again tomorrow.
