I have a half an hour to get some sort of sewing done before the weekend is gone! UGH!
I love my husband, but having him home on Fridays might drive me to the loony bin! It has totally thrown off the schedule for the weekend. I have shuffled a few things around so hopefully tomorrow all I have to do is make a quick run to the school to help with Monday Mail in the kids backpacks and the rest of the day is for me to sew. I have a recipe for a chicken in the crockpot so no big dinner meal prep! Whoo Hoo!

As for not receiving acknowledgement for a gift quilt I have heard that happens. I am very careful of whom I give my more involved quilts to. They seem to thank me more often. I have sent my share of tied(no-sew) fleece couch blankies to folks who are thrilled to get them, and I know they wouldn't see the difference between those and the one I made with 1500 pieces.
I have also been known to send a photo of my daughter using the blankies and afghans she received to the maker, even now that she's 7. E-mail makes it pretty easy, but even a photo tucked into an envelope with a quick note makes them happy.

Well, now I have about 20 minutes to get some stitches laid down!
