Murphy: Not with a quilt but I have been there and done that with my MIL. She commented on a planter box I painted so I made her one and a butterfly house as well and used the same colors because that is mainly what she went crazy for and I got a strange look. I never made anything for her again. I knew she didn't like me. I knew her for 20 yrs before she became my mother in law and I didn't like her much either but I was making the same gift for my Dad for Father's Day and for my hubby I made it for her as well. I just simply told my hubby that I would have preferred her to say she didn't like it or didn't want it rather than give me a look and not a thank you and that from now on he could take care of his own mother on the holiday. It was her issue not mine and it is your mother in laws issue and not yours.

My to do for Christmas list is out of control because of the Iron Quilt. Someone better claim this thing soon because it is changing my Christmas gift quilt plants to Valentines plans.
