When you do FMQ, you don't adjust the stitch length, because you drop the feed dogs. If I were using a walking foot, then I would adjust the stitch length. The YT video I watched about the Viking Opal 670 was a man doing the demo. It was ~40 min. long. Maybe you watched a dif. demo. JCY

Some people don't drop the feed dogs to FMQ, but it's truly personal preference. I don't use my Vikings to FMQ.
