I was going to watch Jenny's newest tut---but I got a dialog box pop-up---from my anti-virus. Stating dangerous. Blocked because of virus.
Went into YouTube and it would not play. Was wondering how to contact M* to have them check it out??
Anyone else having this problem?

Hey Jan, just popped over to You-Tube and watched Wonky Stars - My AVG didn't give me any hassle... Has your computer done any updates lately? Wondering is it loaded IE 11 for you and that's the issue? No problems here (((Hugs))) Good luck!

No problem with it here either.
The only problem I had was wrapping my brain around the stars. It's one of those "it avoids the normal way of making stars." Looks like fun!
Yes, it is updated as to viruses. I use Google Chrome and have Windows 7. It was just crazy. Never had any problems before with Jenny's tutorials. Could be my Internet connection as I have Satelite. Who knows when these things start acting up. Kind of like a spoiled little dog. Yes, I have the most spoiled one ever.
O.K. thanks bunches. Will try again. That is why I asked before I said anything to M*.
Back to IQ. UGH. I will be so happy when I am done with it. I want to do other things.
Hey, the wonky star is a really fun block to make. I made a quilt with them a year and a half ago for a wedding present for my nephew. They loved it.Quote:

My Husband just removed AVG due to these types of problems. On the advice of a man that my DH values his advice put the AVG security on my laptop. The next day, I went to sign on to the laptop, and all kinds of issues popped up. My computer then was taken to this friend, and DH & the friend decided to put Norton back on the laptop. ....No AVG for me. We have other "programs" to help out with the securities as well, they overlap each other ( the programs overlap each other ) ....and for the most part I have very "FEW" problems......The last problem I had before this recent problem with AVG was over 4 yrs ago, when I signed onto a site that was obviously infected. That of course happens from time to time.
Maybe this seems excessive, but we run the security every 3 days.....Sure, a lot of people tell me that it's okay to let it run in the background, ( Norton ) but I have always preferred to take a hour or two out of my day, run the securities myself to make sure things are okay.
This is exactly why we deleted AVG from our computer. It worked fine for a time, and then it did just this. Never again.Quote:

I am going to start my first quilt this next week end. I am very excited. I am going to do the disappearing nine-patch, a baby quilt size for my BFF's niece who is having her 2nd child, a little girl.
After that, I am going to try a Dresden Quilt, I love the look of the Dresden, and Jenny's tutorials make it seem pretty simple to do !
Would love to see any Dresden quilts that any of you have made......

When I access the tutorials direct from the youtube website, I don't have any problems either.
But when I try to access them from the blue bar on top of this forum page, or from the M* website, then my anti-virus blocks it. This must mean it is not the videos themselves which have the virus, but the link from M* (quiltingtutorials.com) might have been hacked?
I can access tutorials from you tube, but not the M* pages. I just blame it on my tablet.
I just went to the tutorials from the blue bar and opened several tutorials with no problem. I am using Norton anti-virus/internet security.Quote:

Again you ladies are Amazing!!!! Yes, that is what happened---I tried to use the link from their web-site. That is when I got the Pop-up. I have never had any problems with AVG. However, have used other anti-virus programs that got viruses on old computers. I want to guard this one with my life. LOL. It is so sad we have to always be so vigilant on our computers.

During the days (possibly overload from Satilite Connection) can't usually get the videos to load. So early AM and later in evening I don't usually have any problems. Was totally shocked when ran into this situation.
I would not want Al's job of keeping their web-site free from all hazards. So many people use it from all over the world.

I have Microsoft Security Essentials virus scan. It's a free download. I don't have any problems viewing the tutorials. JCY
No problems here...
