    Default Saturdays block and dinner! I am back!

    First up some translation on dinner. That is totaly awsome by the way!

    "kålrot" engelsk översättningResultat: 1-3 av 3kålrot {substantiv}
    kålrot {substantiv}
    Swedish turnip {substantiv} [GBR]kålrot {substantiv}
    rutabaga {substantiv} [USA]kålrot {utr.}
    swede {substantiv}Are you missing a certain translation here? Let us know or submit your own translation below.

    I made a Swedish Classic, Fläsklägg med rotmos. And to my best translation it is Pig leg with rutabaga and carrot and potatoes mash. And it is very good!!

    You boil the pig leg in water and onions and carrots and parsnips. Season with bay leaf, white whole peppercorn and some juniperberry corn and some all spice peppercorn and let it simmer/ low boil for about 2 hours.

    Here are a picture on the food.

    I also made a block to day and it is called Broken Marble. Here is the picture of it.

    Now that my soul has had a bit of sewing and my tummy got some food it is time that the doggies have their walk!

    Have a great day/Evening

    God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
    A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
    And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

    Your hand must be better!! Sure hope so, anyway.

    Love the colors in your block - you are certainly laying them out.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

    When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

    A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
    Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

    Love the block. Love the mash as well. Never had it with rutabagas. My grandmother made it with carrots and peas. Haven't thought of that in decades.
