Dance of the Dragonflies -- Any Ideas?
I purchased the pattern for Dance of the Dragonflies. I LOVE the way this looks and am looking forward to turning it into a quilt for my friend D (the 3rd of the Commissioned Quilt Trilogy). However, the instructions are hand-drawn illustrations and I'm just really unclear on how this is supposed to work. Has anyone made this quilt? Do you have any pointers?

Never seen it before, but it sure is pretty.
Re: Dance of the Dragonflies -- Any Ideas?
I googled it and found Annette Ornelas is the designer and has a book or 2 out about her designs.
There is an online shop where you can get more info.....I will put the link below;

Wow! What a pretty quilt! Is it all paper pieced, or is it appliquéd? Sorry, I have no tips for you on this one. Good luck!

Sorry I can't help, but wanted to say that the pattern is just beautiful. What colors would you use?
Re: Dance of the Dragonflies -- Any Ideas?
I have that pattern, but have not made it yet. Basically, you take a square, fold it into a triangle, put it on top of the background fabric, then gently fold back the diagonal edge to a curve and sew it. Kind of like the cathedral windows.

I made this quilt. We used stick glue to hold the small triangles in place while sewing. The folded edge is then folded back on itself to form a curve. My friend hand stitched hers down to form the curve. I used the machine. It turned out really pretty. good luck on yours.
