    Default Another silly question..lol

What are the little guides called that go on to the sewing machine bed to help guide when sewing diagonals.

Saw it on a you tube tutorial but cannot remember which one. They were sewing the angles on a raggy quilt I think as they help to keep the line straight from one corner to the other..:-)

    Cheers

Did you mean the quilting bar? Like this: Quilting Bar Attachment | Pink Chalk Studio

If you don't have one, you can mark your quilt with a long ruler and some chalk with a Clover Chaco liner wheel, or blue painter's tape to get nice straight lines.

Or, the plastic template that you place on the sole plate in front of the needle: angler quilting tool - Bing Images

The Angler works well for smaller diagonal lines when doing blocks with no marking necessary.

I have one and love it....I just line up my fabrics (mainly for skinny borders and binding) and sew...no marking or ironing a seam line....just line it up and go...a great time saver!
