I check this store regularly and on wednesdays is 25% off the entire store so I always check it out...mainly for furniture on that day. But today, I checked the craft section and there was this gallon size bag full of zippers! $4.99
I have been making zipper pouches, hoping I could sell some to pay back my fabric addiction, however, none have sold.. nor anything else and I guess I'll just have to stop as I can't keep buying this stuff ....it is sending me to the poor house! Anyway, ... the bag is full of zippers of all colors and I am thinking..probably 75 zippers in there... cool. I buy it and come home and open the bag to put them in the washer and good grief... there was several sandwich baggies in the middle that I didn't see that were each full of about a dozen same color zippers! I keep pulling zippers out of this bag... good grief.. there must be 150 zippers or more! And they are all 11" which is perfect as I can make them shorter if I need them shorter! Then I remembered the 25% off day and the bag of zippers was $3.75 for 150 or more zippers! Nylon ones! So.. safe to say I am stocked with zippers for the distant future! Granted, I wish it had been fabric and I probalby won't be making any more zipper pouches, but I have them for my next project.

I also got a gallon size bag of laces...couldn't tell all, but what I could, I knew I could use. $2.99. Once home... again, more in there than I realized and alot of lace pieces....yard or more and about 12 unopened packages of ric-rac and bias tape! Some other crafty items I have used in the past...and can have if I need them. But the bias tape and ric-rac alone were worth t he $2.99 minus 25%! I had the idea while back to some how incorporate ric rac into a quilt...maybe a piece across a 5" square or something like that. I'll have to think more on that!

Okay, I am calmed down now... everyone...back to your sewing studios!!!
