LooOooong IQ session!

So, inspired by Debbie's motivational posts, I finally got going yesterday on my IQ project. Frst I trimmed all four charm packs to 5" squares. I bought a 5" charm maker template, I love that thing! Trimming them was really fast with this! Then I started my layout yesterday. Today I worked on the top, and starting from 4:45 a.m. To 10:59 p.m., i got to about the 3/4 mark. Hope I have the energy to get the top finished being pieced tomorrow . of course, I had some break time, two trips to the fabric store for more supplies. And stopping for food and a rest now and then I wasn't sure about whether I was going to even like it, but I am motivated now to finish because I like how it is turning out pretty well.

Came out of the quilting dungeon to see snow is falling! I went to the quilt store in a sweater--that won't work now!

I heard it might be snowing tonight. Ugh... I can barely walk, I don't want to be skiing too!

How is your knee doing? Sounds like it's not doing so great.

Jean, what kind of everlasting batteries are you on? Your sewing marathon made me tired thinking about it! I can't seem to get motivated. It's been snowing all afternoon but not much accumulated. We missed it so far. It went to Indiana.

Kens, I feel your pain. I smashed my toe on the carpet cleaner and now gimping around. It better feel good by Thursday, as I'd like to go to the Sewing & Quilt Festival.

Yeah Jean!!!! I know it helps hearing how many folks join up for Flash sewing so motivational. Great job on 3/4th done already wow. Where did you get this template? M*?? These charms really needed squaring up what a wonderful product to have.

Doing my borders, and didn't like the colors at first so it was hard to push on, but now like you I'm liking it much more.

Kens - No skiing after your recent "falling charm" accident at the gas station. Ouch and Sharyn a toe smash is awful, heck we got to walk on those feet :-)

Mine was simpler, hardly any markings on it, so I "Lose" it often on the table! Also cheaper! They had it as a Daily Deal last spring.

I have one of those charm templates...it was, I think my first or second MSQC order. I love it! Charms are so ease to make with it.

Jean, you are just unbelievable. I just told my 20 year who thinks I have a sewing problem how long you sewed yesterday. He thinks we're both a little on the crazy side! I can't wait to see you quilt. I know it's going to be great!

I need to know the name of your vitamins! I have at least 60 hours more of quilting to do!

I need to work on my IQ but decided I need to work around the house first, need to clean and make homemade noodles for birthday dinner this weekend. I just need to press and figure out the layout so I do have a good start on it. Set up my time rent the quilting machine next week.
