This is a great thread. I have two presents for my Secret Santa buddy but can't figure out what else to put in the box, and I feel it really needs something else.

The Seam-Fix seam ripper is wonderful. I would recommend it.

I want a gift certificate for a long arm class at my new LQS. Once I take that, I can rent time on their machine to do some of my big quilts that have been languishing in the UFO pile for years.
As hard as it is to say, I'm good on fabric for a while. (I didn't say I wasn't going to buy any, I just know I shouldn't!) So a gift certificate to M* is always in order for any of those "gotta have" Daily Deals!

I could use some more small safety pins for quilting. A new red dressmaker's pencil, since mine is a stub. I have also become addicted to those brightly colored stork scissors. I have the bigger pair Kizzie sent me last year nesting by the sewing machine and love those too! Maybe it is just the whimsy of a bird snipping my threads? These are all great stocking stuffers. That is mostly what us parents get for Christmas.

I am being honest here so for Christmas this year I want time alone with hubby! I want to spend Christmas day with the kids, hubby and my parents. I want the day after for just me and hubby. If I get my daughter and son in law and all the kids gift certificates they would all have to go somewhere won't they? Where can I send two 20 somethings, a 9 yr old, 5 yr old and an 8 month old for a few hours or the day? I wouldn't have to worry about my parents being around because they take off for a day by themselves the day after every year.

Actually there is really nothing I want. Well maybe a sit down quilter...but those are just pipe dreams. Precuts are always appreciated. A week with no DH or kids would be great too. I NEED a certain amount of ME alone time. Actually a sewing table made for my machine would be nice. You know the kind that the machine sits down in. If I got nothing I would still be happy. Making sure my DD and DGK's are taken care of with their wishes and wants is what is most important to me. Every thing else is just icing on the cake.

I would like a week off work, a clean house, and someone to cook my meals while I finish up some quilting projects! Since this isn't going to happen, I guess I'll settle for a glass of eggnog as I snuggle my grands and DH, while the family comes for Christmas dinner.

    Ideally... new kitchen cabinetry.
Realistic... I've just mailed Santa-DH a list of items (larger cutting mat, Tri-rec rulers, Aurifil thread...) He will decide which ones he can afford.
