Re: Any thoughts on quilt designs
There was a post recently about using fat quarters for a simple quilt. You could try a search and I bet you would come up with lots of options.
With 30 fat quarters you could probably do most anything, that is almost like having yardage.

I think the Turning Twenty quilts were mentioned, as well as the Yellow Brick Road. Both are simple,, quick, and look great.
You could also do a scrappy Rail Fence, or my favorite, the Double Sliced pattern.
Pinwheels are also a possibility...
Wow... Thirty coordinating fat quarters... Wow.

I'm just finishing up the Swoon quilt that I did with a fat quarter collection of Winters Lane - looks like snowflakes! You would need to add background fabric though

Here's some swoon blocks. I think it would be easy to do. Looks like half square triangles and flying geese blocks.

Here's the pattern. Even though you could easily draft it out, this pattern should tell you how much fabric for what size quilt you want plus some tips on how to make it. Thimble Blossoms ? Swoon- Pattern 142 PAPER Pattern

Oh oh oh! I swoon over swoon blocks! It's at the top of my to-do list. That would be an awesome quilt and it looks fairly easy to make if you can do HSTs.

Swoon is on top of my list as well. Just finishing up about 4 projects and then it time to swoon. I took Camilles class at craftsy and have her books. She is a terrific designer and instructor.
