    Default Static in my thread

My thread has static in it. Very frustrating. It's sticking to everything! Even my hands! How do I get rid of it? It's making me crazy! Lol

Cathy, what kind of thread are you using? Is it for hand-sewing or on the machine? On my machine if I run into problems with static I thread a regular needle and stitch through one of those styrofoam packing peanuts so it is between the spool and before the tension discs. Hand sewing? I'd try a bit of rosin or a bee's wax cake to pull the length of thread through before threading the needle.

    Hope this helps.

    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

It's on my machine. Cheap thread that I'm using for paper piecing. Thank you. Will give it a try.

Rub a dryer sheet on the spool.

I usually keep a dryer sheet in my purse - learned that trick years ago back when pantyhose was in style, and my slip would stick to my hose. I'd rub my legs with the dryer sheet and that fixed it. Works also on flyaway hair during those dry wintery days.
