Christmas and wrapping ideas
I got an email that someone was following me on Pinterest. I forgot I even saved these.
I had this in my Pinterest collection and thought since the holidays are coming up it would be fun to share some wrapping and gift ideas.

Debbie, I'll bet if you ask Lorie real sweet she'll gather a few chicken feathers and send for you to decorate your packages with . . .

I love that ribbon holder idea! So simple and so clever. Gotta copy that; I already have some of those containers and a dowel stick around here.
Re: Christmas and wrapping ideas
Great ideas - thanks for sharing!
The best wrapping of a Christmas present was one year my DMIL wrapped our presents in beautiful, new bath towels and mad a bow out of the washcloths!
Another great wrapping is homemade pillowcases.
Re: Christmas and wrapping ideas
I was at my local quilt store buying some fabric to make pillowcases for the Cyber Elves. The owner mentioned that for the past 5 years or so, she makes a pillowcase for each of her grandchildren and then puts their Christmas presents in there and ties it up with a bow. I thought that was a cool idea.
Re: Christmas and wrapping ideas
The funniest wrapping I got was from my mom. She unrolled toilet paper and rolled it back up with $1 bills. lol
Re: Christmas and wrapping ideas
Every year I tell myself I will wrap the gifts as I bring them home. I never do. I usually end awake until 2 or 3 am wrapping everything and at that point getting them covered and labeled is the only goal.
I love the pretty/clever wrapping options but just don't think I will ever pull it off.
Re: Christmas and wrapping ideas
What a great idea for ribbon....now I need to head to Wal-Mart and get a little plastic tub and some dowel rods! I always have grand ideas for Christmas wrapping, and when I do get snazzy, our cats have a wonderful time playing with the jazzy packages. Darned cats - they would LOVE the feathers! Garden Ridge - we don't have one in Iowa that I know of, but when I go to Tulsa to visit DD, we ALWAYS stop at Garden Ridge - DH and SIL are never too thrilled. Imagine that ;)
