Here is a great store for ordering sewing supplies and machine parts/feet.....
When the darning foot on my Singer Quantum 9960 started making alot of noise I sent it to where I bought it for repair. The needle was ever so slightly sliding against the inside front of the hole/circle of the foot and making a loud clanking sound. Drove me nuts and I always worried if the needle hits the metal rim of the circle..it could do alot of damage! So I called them, told them about it and they said it was electrical..the needle arm was off. I sent it, 2 days later they sent it back and it still did it. I called, they said send it back, I did, they called and said they don't hear it! I was speechless.....it clanks so loud a deaf person could hear it! They swore they couldn't. So the guy says "This foot is the worst foot out there, Singer is bad about this. You need another foot" he said to try the one called "Big Foot" darning/embroidery foot. Okay, obvious they aren't going to bother doing anything to it. he showed me on his site/store and the foot was what I wanted...a larger hole for the needle to go through, but it was $16.99 plus tax plus shipping! I researched the foot and found it here....
Sewing Supplies Wholesale & Retail - Free Nationwide Shipping
THere it was, looked like the perfect solution...larger hole and the whole foot looked better constructed... and it was only $6.99! I'll take it! Then I went to place the order and it was FREE SHIPPING in the USA! FREE!!!!! I ordered it and with tax it was $7.62 and I got it 2 days later! Granted they only about 2 hours west of me in LA, but still...fast shipping.
So if you are looking for a sewing supply, and they have lots of stuff...check them out. Free Shipping is often as much as the item! So that there is a huge help financially.
The foot works GREAT!! even without the sound, the foot seems to do better than the one that came with the machine. It is low shank, snap on.

I keep praying that Mine will hold up for the years to come.. it is rather expensive for my budget and I love how easy it is to use.. It is so quiet!! I am one of those complaining about the 9960. I got it 2 years ago on a special of some kind for $500. That was my budget limit and a Singer.. I had a Singer 2010 for 28 years ....talk about a work horse with no problems!!! Love that machine! But I was able to get a new one so I thought I would! I like the machine well enough, but the threading area is where my problems all are. To wind a bobbin you have to unthread the whole machine (my 2010 youjust left the machine threaded, opened the bobbin cage, pressed a button, and press the foot pedal and wind wind wind!. When done, close the bobbin cage and literally start sewing again. THis one... you have to unthread the whole machine, thread for bobbin wind and wind. I have to usually wind several bobbins if I know I am going to be using that same color alot, or else, every time the bobbin runs out, I have to unthread and do all that. The problem this causes is if I don't estimate right, I end up with lots of full or partially thread bobbins in colors I dont' need now so I had to buy 20 more bobbins and now have a bunch of bobbins to contend with.
When the machine comes unthreaded for whatever reason, the threading area is totally enclosed so you have to pull the thread out backwards to get the end to be able to rethread it. When using that cut button to cut the thread when you are done, it cuts it so short that unless you manyally pull it longer, when you start sewing again, it isn't enough length for the needle to pull up and of course, it unthreads and you have to re thread. Couple more thread issues, but other than that, I really like the machine. I dont' know why the darning foot did this...I dont' think it did this last year so something in recent months caused it.. I think. I know I hit a few pins while back and broke 2 needles and maybe the made the needle arm slightly out of adjustment, but when I sent it in for repair, I assumed that they would have checked the needle arm as that is what is connecting it all...kind of where it starts so that is where they should have started their trouble shooting. I dont' think they even looked at it. And, it didn't effect the sewing/FMQ'ing at all,,,just that loud clanking noise and the possiblity of it getting worse or the needle hitting the foot. But anyway.. this Big Foot is great and it does better than the one that came with the machine. Had I known about it before I would have bought it as the one iwth the machine is smaller and it was kind of cumbersome to see what I was doing with that metal ring as it was... this one is a bigger hole so easier to see what is going on there. It has a spring feature that the one with the machine doesn't have and I think that helps alot in the movement it does. I think the spring helps the foot do its job better than without. Other than the threading issue and this foot, I like the machine very well.

Thanks for posting this! I just ordered a few things there. I can not believe that I paid 50 Euros for my walking foot... And they have it for under 20$.
