Some folks missed the last notice - So posting here too - and Going off into Sewing room for
FLASH SEWING TIME!
Friday October 18 - Saturday Oct 19
6 pm to 6 pm Get Ready.......... Get Set............ GOOOOOOOOOOOOO
For new folks this is how it works
Post that you need motivation to GO sew something and What you want to try and work on
Try to get into your sewing room from 6 PM MST to 6 PM Saturday and SEW (clean up, reorganize)
Post back about 6 pm MST on Saturday what you really got accomplished
This helps motivate us all knowing us quilters sometimes need the extra motivation to just go DO it! Me too, I really need a big kick in the pants right now - So just knowing many will be going and sewing things helps!
I need to finish something that is already cut and only needs to be put together **this is 1st on my list**
Then sew some 4 patches, make 1/2 square triangles, I also would love to make another cute Fabric Box
What are you going to go in and try to get working on?
Good luck and hope many join in!
Debbie
*****POST can be found in the Sew Far Apart, Sew Together Thread**** Didn't want ppl to miss out this time :D

Ha! The rest of my fabric came in today for the Iron Quilter Contest so hopefully I can finish up some more of my blocks for that. I was sweating it out because everyone was out of what I wanted. Found some on ebay and bought the last 2.5 yards. :)

I set out to work on some rag quilts. I thought I had finally killed my cheapo singer (it is the devil but the machine I have for now). It was being crazy like normal, and I thought it had finally broke, but my husband helped me straighten it out. I got a doll sized rag quilt done, and snipped. Now I just need to wash it.

Re: FLASH SEWING TIME -- Ready Set GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Friday Oct 18 - Saturday Oct 19
Got the sewing room swept. Hunted high and low for 3 missing items.... found my "travel bag" for a quilting class and the sewing machine manual for my small machine. Could not find the box with the various feet for the old machine....think the new machine's feet are interchangeable. Hmmm...where could it be?
Worked some on trying some applique on a January wall hanging. My first real attempt at machine applique...so far, I am making progress. Maybe I can teach myself this skill...

Re: FLASH SEWING TIME -- Ready Set GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Friday Oct 18 - Saturday Oct 19
Yeah!!! Thank you all, I know it helps to know others are dashing into their sewing rooms as we imagine sewing around the globe (no matter what your time difference 24 hours to get anything moving forward is the same 24 hours :-) This helps me sew much!!
Mary Love those cute little elephants in this what a great job on rotating them too and I like the FMQ. Happy quilt for a newborn, now the baby must come?
almost 2 hours left for me, only 4:30 ish -- ok 1 1/2 hours but I'm off the boards to see how much further can get done and take a few photo's

Re: FLASH SEWING TIME -- Ready Set GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Friday Oct 18 - Saturday Oct 19
I accomplished a lot during the flash sewing time! I finished up the 6 flannel burp clothes and then I made the silly goose baby quilt and then 5 other burp clothes (these were made with diapers and flannel). DH even joined in for a bit while I was quilting the silly goose and cut up a whole bunch of 5" squares for some tablerunners I have orders for. Now, to figure out how to resize these pictures and get them up here.

I made a bunch of 1/2 square triangles and 8 more log cabins during my flash sewing period. Sorry I posted too late, but I just remembered. All of your projects look so nice.
