    Default I am stopping my quilting for a week

    Just for the next week. All of my quilting projects are in totes or gallon bags. Instead, I am venturing into costuming. My 8 year old niece wants to be Laura Ingalls for Halloween. And guess who got tapped to make the costume?

    I had the reverse problem when I started quilting. 1/4 inch? Scant 1/4 inch? These people must be nuts! Now I am proud to be a nut too!

    I have only been sewing clothes in the past, so changing to a 1/4" still feels a little strange. I am always afraid that my seams will come apart.
    Can you please post a picture of the finished costume? I am very excited to see it. I loved watching the Ingalls family when I was a kid

    That's exactly what I thought when I started quilting a few months ago and reading all the posts. I have to keep double checking my sewing allowances to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

    I have just made my Daughter a Black skirt for work. 2 wrongs...black material and 5/8" seams .... And time taken from quilting...
