I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
I feel like I left my heart in Hamilton, Missouri after being at the 1st Quilt "sleep and sew". Hope you all kept up with the going on's because it was a very special time to be part of and let's see what 2014 brings
Little Jean always with a twinkle in her eye, Bernice who is a wealth of great advice, and Jean the Queen of Jelly Rolls who was the amazing coordinator of 4 amazing days.
Jenny, Al, Sarah, Natalie... you all have a piece of my heart and soul!
If you didn't make it in 2013 start preparing now~ It was a BLAST to shop in person, and I can't say enough good things about everyone that loves working at MSQS.
Thank you so much, I am finally home and miss Hamilton already!
now to find who had that RV park years ago, what they did with all the sewer, water and electric lines, who are they, how much do they want and can I talk hubby into buying it, or managing it as a 3 season campground ;-)
***will sneak my haul out later for photo's**
Home finally in Arizona and exhausted but with wonderful memories ((((Jenny)))) and all - Thank you! It was better than meeting Santa Claus!!!!! :-)
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
I often wonder if Jenny and Santa aren't the same person, because she certainly brings a lot of smiles to people all over the world! She just works more than one day a year lol I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip Debbie, and if you ever convince hubby to buy that campground then I may have to come visit so I can meet Jenny too! As soon as I can convince The Giant to buy an RV that is... Do they make those in giant-sizes? :icon_giggle:

My parents know how to camp. Theirs has a big bedroom, a queen sized pull out couch and a few more beds. Microwavey, cable ready, couple TV's great canopy thingy. Point is I will pick you and hubby up at the border and we can go together. That would be fun. There is even a tub but if you are over 3 or 4 your too big for it.
Deb I have been waiting to hear how much fabric you got and how much fun you had. I am so happy for you.

DEAL! Although I am a few years older than 3 or 4, so no baths. We could use the tub to store fabric? lol
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
Left my heart there too Debbie. I didn't want to leave. It is such a friendly, uplifting place. I am looking forward to next year.
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
I'm thinking Debbie might just have left the most cash behind of any of us. Her shopping basket was over-flowing on Friday.
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
But, but, but . . . don't forget that Debbie spent several months touring the country and selling her wares just so she'd have enough moola to spend in Hamilton. She was certainly good for their economy!!!!

Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
So what is posted on the forum stays ON the forum :icon_heh: my hubby only saw 1 charge but I'm betting he can come close to guessing what I spent. Friday was the wonderful 5th Anniversary with tremendous SALES, but my basket got so heavy it was hurting my neck so I had to stop
It is sad that about 75% of what you see will be donated after being made into Quilts4Kids - Sad no matter how much I spend, or how many quilts are made, they will still need many more.
So anyway this is my 1 years worth!
There are also the "Lovely" charm packs for the Iron Quilter contest. Not that I'll win, but you don't have a chance IF you don't enter... so I've got 4 Charms that I need to come up with something ((Ideas are most Welcome!!!))

I think you won.....against me anyway. What a lovely stash!
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
Wow you got a really nice variety of items! It will be so much fun using them.
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
I too left my heart there about four years ago. We made our 5th trip down for the birthday party but we (DH) just missed some at the retreat center. Of course we were slow getting there for all the fabric I needed, and the wonderful help I got from every one of the workers. I have been reading the forum for a long time but decided it is time to get active. Today I am going to pick up a quilt from the quilter--Katie's Quilt made from Lemon Tree Fabric. I will post a picture when I get the binding done.
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
Good for you Peggy! Can't wait to see how your Katie's Quilt comes out in that beautiful Lemon Tree Fabric! Yes, please post a picture it gives us all some great ideas and a chance to admire everyone's work! Hope to see you next year, the folks on here are Amazing with so much talent, it was such a treat to meet the people on this forum!

Nice, I love the stash!!! I would have done the same thing. When " Opportunity knocks" go for it.
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
I don't do camping unless it's at The Wynn, Ceasar's Palace or The Bellagio, king size bed, fluffy comforter, running hot/cold water, big Jacuzzi tub, mini frig, AC/Heater, wifi, 42" flatscreen TV, comfy seating area, room service. Now outdoor area, sparkling blue water, lounge chair, good book, frozen virgin mango Margarita with salt on the rim delivered by a cute buffed dude! lol
Ok, now if there are cute little cabins at the 3 Season's camp ground decorated Shabby Chic/Woodsy...I'll give it a whirl as long as there still is a cute buffed woodman delivering me my frozen virgin mango Margarita with salt!!
Re: I left my heart in Hamilton, MO (and a bucket of money)
:icon_wave: Ok Robin.... show us what you got too!! I can of course drool over more fabric I left behind all lonely waiting for a different new home (probably not delivered by anyone but my mail lady who's not buff at all! hehehe)..
