Default I really wish someone would lite a fire cracker under me!

What is the matter with me? I know life has been busy and stressful but when I have a couple hours to work on a quilt I just sit! Sometimes I work on my hexis but that is getting way to close to being done. It is like I just can't make myself go sit at the machine. I have a quilt started, way back in July, but only have 2 blocks finished. Would someone like to bring the fire cracker and liter? Please? I need a great big push! Instead I sit.

Why not sit? You have a lot of obligations in your life. You are going through a lot right now. As much fun as it might be to get to sewing maybe what you need right now is to just sit. A little quiet time with as little going on in the brain as possible is actually good for you.

You'll get your mojo back. You need to (as my daughter would say) chillax. I don't know how you keep up with yourself as it is. Still keeping you and your family in my prayers.

I'm feeling the same way. Don't know what it is. Sluggish I guess. Looking at my big swap right now, so maybe after I can get it back together after I send it off.

We need to meditate in a quilt tent!

We have worked hard - so its ok to dowhatever we want at the moment. Your moment will come unexpectedly. Just take care of you cause you cannot care for someone else unless you are good to go

We all have seasons in our life. This time last year, I was depressed about my oldest child going to college and all I did was sit on the couch, watch tv, and eat buttered crackers. This year I am on fire, making new things every single week.

Be patient with yourself. It will come naturally.

Oh honey, you don't need a fire cracker - you need some quiet time with nothing to do - your body and brain are telling you to stop and smell the roses. Just sit there and maybe pet some fabric or flip through a magazine or do absolutely nothing at all. You need to recharge your batteries. You do such a good job taking care of everyone else, but you need to take some time for you too!

Don't stress about it. I am just getting back into it after a few months (well since about April), I just didn't feel like doing any sewing or quilting. I got back into it about a week or so ago and so far I've finished a quilt I had on my frame and am binding it now. I'm pinning a quilt for my great-niece. I made a lap quilt top and cut out the pieces for another quilt - just waiting on an order to finish cutting that one. So it will come back - be patient

Thanks you ladies. I guess even at 64 my moms teaching that is you are just sitting you are being lazy. HA! Guess I just needed to be given permission to not have to be on the go even at the machine all the time.

    What crazy life this is.

I am going to meditate on that quilt tent though. LOL

Sandy, I agree with Lisa and the others. Why not sit & rest......you need some down time. When you don't feel like sewing spend some time relaxing and look through a quilting magazine. . I'm sure you will feel like sewing after you've had some time to rest from the stress you have had.
