Default Fons and Porter - Emily's Quilt

It aired today, October 5th. Liz Porter was a guest.

She showed how she made her daughter's wedding quilt. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Isn't it amazing how you can put two different blocks together and come up with a different look?

BTW, Liz looked great - sounds like she is enjoying retirement.

Has anyone else put two classic blocks together to form another look?

I have seen large quarter-square triangle blocks used between other blocks and it's really pretty.

I have also seen 9 patch blocks used between other blocks - Irish Chain comes to mind.

    Whats your favorite separator block?

    I'm looking for ideas.

That's a stunningly beautiful quilt. Any bride would be over the moon to receive a quilt like that and when it comes from Mom it's that much more special!

Loved that quilt! I love patterns that make secondary patterns. I am "working" on a kaleidoscope quilt - my avatar. Working is in quotes, since it is in a project bag as I work on other projects first. I should get back to it....
