Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
Someone posted they were unhappy with their fabric.com order. I'm wondering if anyone has purchased fabric from equilter.com? If so, what was your experience? Satistifed with the products & shipping? My recent order from M*QC was my 1st online fabric purchase. I was happy with the items, the way everything was packaged, etc. Just not happy that the charms were oversized & I'm having to trim them all. :( I have 3 LQS within 15 mi. so I have good local resources. Our Super W-M carries fabric & we have a Hobby Lobby & Hancock's. However, the quality of their fabric usually is not as good as the LQS. JCY
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have never ordered from equilter.com..actually I'm not familiar with them at all. I just wanted to let you know that the "oversized" charms that you received from M* has nothing to do with M*. The problem lies with the manufacturer of the charms and they would be oversized no matter where you ordered them from. It is very unfortunate that it happens but that is the chance that is taken when pre cuts are ordered from anywhere. Some people here have had problems with layer cakes and with jelly rolls. Others have had no problems at all. Actually, if I was going to receive a mis cut pkg of any pre cut, I would rather they be oversized because at least I can cut them to the correct size and still use them. Many people here have received "undersized" cuts which really throws off the entire pattern they were planning on making.
Anyway, I hope this helps you in your ordering decisions and I'm sure someone here can give you some info on equilter.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have ordered from equilter and been sort of satisfied - their prices tend to be high (no daily, or weekly deals) and there are no "Jenny" videos or forums or group supports.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
Never ordered from equilter, but I do order from fabric.com quite a bit and never had an issue with them or their shipping.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
Not equilter but for for great prices and top brand names go to thousandsofbolts.com. Their prices are amazing and the shipping is very reasonable.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I've shopped there several times and been very pleased. They do have a clearance section that usually has a ton of fabrics in it. As mentioned above, Thousands of Bolts is great, for prices, selection, service. Also try Quilt Fabric Closeouts. Their prices are good too and service very good. I've shopped at many different places online that I discovered thru Quiltshops.com. There are a lot of good places out there to choose from. :)

Thanks for the feedback. JCY
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
Even if you never order from equilter.com, it is a wonderful place to visit.
I've ordered from there in the past when I've really needed a specific fabric. Their prices are high but I thought the service was great.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have ordered from them numerous times, I was very satisfied. The prices are a tad high , but they also have some unique fabrics not seen elsewhere.
If you have ever done the fab shop hop online to find the bunnies you will find a ton of great shops!
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
That's how I found several small quilt shops that were amazing in Customer Service the Quilt Shop Bunny hop. It was fun to do, took 3 days for me to get into all the shops and poke around their sections. I've ordered from Fabric.com and no problems, order tons of fabric online but not at equilter. Good luck!

I was unhappy with the shipping of the Heat N Bond I purchased from Fabric.com. I'm sure the owners would not like the idea of a packer putting the HnB in a box like it was packing material and it has some black specks on it (not sure what that is).The fabric appears to be fine and was laid in a plastic bag.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have not used equilter or fabric.com, but have used fatquartershop and connectingthreads. Fatquartershop is pricey, but great selection & pretty quick shipping. ConnectingThreads carries their own fabric lines (not name brands) but the prices, quality & service are excellent.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I've ordered from equilter.com, fabric.com, fatquartershop.com, & bighornquilts.com. I've been happy with my purchases. Equilter.com is having a great sale this weekend. I ordered several yards for backings, they are marked down to the $5-6 range and I compared the prices before I bought. Just look up sale or clearance in the search.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
This is an amazing site. Only problem is the shipping charges to Canada. For an $89 order it's $43 shipping. so there is no savings for me here.......sigh......
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have used equilter and was not happy with them. I ordered a charm pack based on the wonderful color. When I got it, I was very disappointed in it. The fabric looked like it had been sunbleached, as compared to the photo. When I contacted their customer service about it, they said it was my monitor and I needed to calibrate it to their "calibration tool." I did that and got the same results. I contacted them again and they assured me that they would look into it. They sent me an online coupon for $5 off my next order. They never apologized and again informed me that it was my monitor.
I discarded the coupon and never ordered from them again. My last attempts at contacting them went unanswered and since obviously I cannot trust the color of their products, I'm done with them.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
Thousands of bolts is my go to also
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I buy almost all my fabric online. I live in a small town with only one LQS (with fewer than 100 bolts). I am 100 miles away from well-stocked quilt shops. I rarely buy fabric from chains anymore as I'm not pleased with the quality. I think all high quality fabric is pricey -- but pretty consistently so, whether online or at independent shops. I've been known to cut a lot of corners in my life ("make do" is my motto) but I'm completely different when it comes to quilting. I want the best if I'm going to invest that much time in making what I hope will be an heirloom.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I forgot to mention, my favorite sources are M*, Fat Quarter Shop, Fabric Worm, Hawthorne Threads, Shabby Fabric.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I haven't tried equilter, but I do order from M*, Craftsy, and fabric.com, occasionally joann.com. For fabric.com, you can access via your fatwallet.com account and get a percentage back - usually 3-4% on purchases. But I have to say fabric.com inventory hasn't been so great. It seems like most things I want show 0 quantity. I've made several orders from them and only one did I have a little issue with. I ordered several yards of Kona Snow and it arrived crumpled and some areas were discolored. I didn't return it, but I definitely should have. I wouldn't buy from equilter though. I do not buy from online shops that don't offer reasonable shipping. Their shipping is a rip off in my opinion.
