I was unhappy with the shipping of the Heat N Bond I purchased from Fabric.com. I'm sure the owners would not like the idea of a packer putting the HnB in a box like it was packing material and it has some black specks on it (not sure what that is).The fabric appears to be fine and was laid in a plastic bag.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have not used equilter or fabric.com, but have used fatquartershop and connectingthreads. Fatquartershop is pricey, but great selection & pretty quick shipping. ConnectingThreads carries their own fabric lines (not name brands) but the prices, quality & service are excellent.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I've ordered from equilter.com, fabric.com, fatquartershop.com, & bighornquilts.com. I've been happy with my purchases. Equilter.com is having a great sale this weekend. I ordered several yards for backings, they are marked down to the $5-6 range and I compared the prices before I bought. Just look up sale or clearance in the search.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
This is an amazing site. Only problem is the shipping charges to Canada. For an $89 order it's $43 shipping. so there is no savings for me here.......sigh......
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I have used equilter and was not happy with them. I ordered a charm pack based on the wonderful color. When I got it, I was very disappointed in it. The fabric looked like it had been sunbleached, as compared to the photo. When I contacted their customer service about it, they said it was my monitor and I needed to calibrate it to their "calibration tool." I did that and got the same results. I contacted them again and they assured me that they would look into it. They sent me an online coupon for $5 off my next order. They never apologized and again informed me that it was my monitor.
I discarded the coupon and never ordered from them again. My last attempts at contacting them went unanswered and since obviously I cannot trust the color of their products, I'm done with them.

Thousands of bolts is my go to also
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I buy almost all my fabric online. I live in a small town with only one LQS (with fewer than 100 bolts). I am 100 miles away from well-stocked quilt shops. I rarely buy fabric from chains anymore as I'm not pleased with the quality. I think all high quality fabric is pricey -- but pretty consistently so, whether online or at independent shops. I've been known to cut a lot of corners in my life ("make do" is my motto) but I'm completely different when it comes to quilting. I want the best if I'm going to invest that much time in making what I hope will be an heirloom.

I forgot to mention, my favorite sources are M*, Fat Quarter Shop, Fabric Worm, Hawthorne Threads, Shabby Fabric.
Re: Anyone bought fabric from equilter.com?
I haven't tried equilter, but I do order from M*, Craftsy, and fabric.com, occasionally joann.com. For fabric.com, you can access via your fatwallet.com account and get a percentage back - usually 3-4% on purchases. But I have to say fabric.com inventory hasn't been so great. It seems like most things I want show 0 quantity. I've made several orders from them and only one did I have a little issue with. I ordered several yards of Kona Snow and it arrived crumpled and some areas were discolored. I didn't return it, but I definitely should have. I wouldn't buy from equilter though. I do not buy from online shops that don't offer reasonable shipping. Their shipping is a rip off in my opinion.
