    Default Good evening everyone

Didn't get a chance to check in much yesterday but I did get to get another placemat set done for dil's shower. I want to get them in the mail by the end of the week. I started another set today after work -- using the 5" tumbler and the Seascapes charm pack. Thought that would be a nice set for summer. I also worked on a design for a winter one with snowmen on them. That will be my next set to do tomorrow or the next day. I just need to go onto her registry and have something sent and I also have a nice glass piece that dh and I got for them when we were in Canada. Went to a glass blowing place and found a great vase for them .

We also had a great time at the surprise 40th anniversary for dh's brother and sister-in-law. Perfect weather and the traffic wasn't horrendous. We also had a chance to go to the beach for a few hours yesterday morning. So, all-in-all, it was a really good weekend.

I have a lot of sewing to do -- I now have 3 craft fairs to do over the next few months. Luckily, they are spread apart pretty good. Oct. 4, early Nov and then Dec. 7. Looking forward to them. Of course, I do have my son's wedding and Thanksgiving in between 2 of them so I need to be ready for them all pretty early. So many ideas running through my head. And dh is such a sweetie -- he has promised to help however he can. He is very good at cutting the fusible fleece for my mug rugs and placemats and my border strips too. He is getting the hang of the rotary cutter too. And he makes all the tags for pricing using my sizzix machine.

So, that's what I have been up to. This week will be a busy one. My son and grandpuppy will be coming back this Wednesday so ds can go back and help my cousin work on his house again for a few days. My sister will be here too for a couple days. Her boyfriend is on a trip with his brother so she is at loose ends a bit. She will come over on Thursday and probably stay until Saturday.

Have a good week everyone. I will check in when I get a chance.

    Good night.

Are you busy or what? Sounds like so much fun you are having. Just curious, when's the wedding? Have a November anniversary coming up myself. Have you shared pictures of all your place mats? And, Canada for blown glass. Have you visited the Corning, NY museum/art studio? Haven't been there for years, but it was truly an event/time to remember. You are close enough for a week-end visit.
    Be warned. I am BORED.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

Sandy, I would like to thank you for mentioning Corning, N.Y. My wedding anniversary is coming up and we have been trying to come up with a long week-end trip we could take that would be of interest to both of us, and the Corning museum is perfect. It is 4 1/2 hours away, but that is doable. My anniversary is this Sunday, but we aren't going away until the end of September or the beginning of October sometime.
    Thanks again, Kathy

Sandy! The woman sounds busy enough without you giving her more ideas of places to go! Makes me tired just reading it all.

You were tired before you started reading . . . (remember, she's still working and can afford to take a weekend trip now and then) . . . it's been years since I've been to Canada. (or New Mexico, for that matter).

No Sandy, haven't been to the Corning Museum but I think that will go on the list. My son's wedding is November 15 in California -- and did I mention that one of my step-daughters is due to deliver her first child on November 19! Of course, here in New York. We cut our trip to CA short so that we hopefully will not miss the big event. We were going to stay until the Wednesday after the wedding but now we are flying back on the red eye Sunday night.

I will take pictures of the placemats and post them soon.

Yes, Blondie, sure is running over -- but those are all good things. Even some of the not-so-good things that have been going on in our life are settling down --- except for the work situation. But I am dealing with it and just taking it one day at a time. Focusing on the good stuff and enjoying my time when I am not at work. Trying not to let work put a cloud over the rest of my life.
