What to do with Ellie Ann JR
I am using this fabric for my next quilt (whatever that will be). It has 14 light color strips along with the colored ones. I'm wanting to find a cute quilt to make with it, but with the light colors I'm not finding a pattern other than Jacob's Ladder. Any suggestions? : )

Re: What to do with Ellie Ann JR
I have been wanting to do Serendipity quilt ever since I watched the tutorial, I love it! Also is was posted (filmed?) on August 24th, my "baby" boys birthday. :) He just turned 27! Where does the time go?? Anyway, I have a Dori jelly roll that I ordered and have been wondering what to do with it and after watching this AGAIN, I need to get it out...unroll it and see just exactly what color combos I can come up with and then get some yardage to cut the charm size squares. Thanks for the reminder.

Love, Love, Love the Ellie Ann fabric (I have the fat quarter bundle). This is a link to what I believe is the quilt I have in mind from the Quilt in a Day website. (I'm not able to actually watch videos from this computer.)

Re: What to do with Ellie Ann JR
Oh, I love the Twin Sister's pattern! I have EB's book with that pattern in it and it is definitely on my short list of quilts to make!:icon_happy:
I also like the Summer in the Park pattern. I recently bought a Flirt jelly roll from MSQC, and this pattern is the plan for this JR. :icon_bigsmile:

This is a fun one too. You can get different blocks by the way it's cut

Too many choices. I love that JR and just don't think you can go wrong with whatever you decide.

I made a Kim Bracket quilt called Irene's vexation but it was not vexing at all. I actually made two quilts since I pulled out the orange toned ones and used them for something else.Attachment 54396Attachment 54397

That is so pretty Claire! All of your quilts are so beautifully done!
Re: What to do with Ellie Ann JR
Thanks so much, I am getting better a little bit at a time.
I am working on that hexi star quilt that was discussed a while back The one that was in the Kansas Star expensive book but not using the book. I bought the hex and more ruler and working with that and it is going pretty well. Pictures will follow when it is further along. I have all the rows pieced and now sewing the rows together. So far only two rows sewn but I am happy with how it is turning out.
Re: What to do with Ellie Ann JR
I have a jelly roll and a layer cake of this fabric; just love it, but also don't know what to do with it yet. My mind just gets muddled with so many great fabric lines and patterns to choose from.

I hope she let's us know what she decided!

I was going to do the one like Claire's, but I didn't want to put out the money for a book right now. So, I'm ordering a charm to go with it and will be making a Jacob's Ladder. All of the light colors in the roll really lend it's self to that pattern.
Re: What to do with Ellie Ann JR
I sure understand about the book, ir can get quite expensive to build a library.
That one has lots of good patterns for jelly roll strips. I actually have another quilt from the book sandwiched and the quilting on it might even start today.
