Default It will be a Brother!

I will be purchasing a new machine in a few weeks. I had narrowed it down to a Janome 1600 and Brother 1500. Last week I went to both dealers to test drive them both. Well the Janome machine just seem to have to many tension problems and the Brother just worked like a dream. Also the Brother is about $300 cheaper. I can't wait. I teach school and we always get a paid setup day. I will getting that check in two weeks and I'm heading straight to the Brother dealer. Right now I do my FMQ on a Singer 15-91 and honestly I love it, but I want a machine with few more features like the needle down feature, threader, and cutter. I'm working on my first queen size quilt top--I can't wait to quilt it on my new machine!!

I'm happy you found the machine for you! Be sure to post pictures when it arrives. Las year when I got my new Janome I was on pins and needles until it got here. My UPS driver thought I was going to tackle him when I ran out to greet him!

Congratulations! It is a wonderful thing when you can get a machine you want for less than you thought you were going to have to spend.

You will LOVE the needle down feature. My Janome has that feature, and it is wonderful.... I also have a threader, and a cutter.

Enjoy your Brother.... I always hear good things about them.... And..... Saving $300 is nothing to sneeze at....

Congratulations on the new addition to the family! Think how much fabric you can buy with your savings and you got the machine you liked the best!
