Default Stuck on color combinations - need advice

I have the Simple Marks Summer jelly rolls to do the Summer In The Park quilt. I want to do white for all the inner borders and was looking at Michael Miller Siren Song Citrus for the outer border. Colors include coral, orange, scarlet, melon, yellow-green and lime. Features horizontal stripes. Or Michael Miller Siren Song Waves. Colors include navy, teal, aqua, turquoise, royal, mint and aquamarine. Or should I just pick another solid for the outer border?
There will be a white inner border before the outer one would be done, if that makes sense.

Wow, I love both! Cool colors lead your eye to the warm middle, warm colors bring the focus to the border. What would you like to focus on? I would lean toward the cool colors for a border. This is going to be one wowzer quilt!

I would go with the Michael Miller Waves but that is my personal preference. When you look at the quilt what colors do you want to stand out? You can't go wrong with either choice here, they are both great fabrics.

I love the Siron Song "Waves". I love the way the turquoise mellows out the oranges. I have a snap pop charm pack with similar colors that I'm making a tote from and I'm using the turquoise as the accent and orange stripes as the liner so I guess I'm partial. But this is really really pretty and either fabric would be beautiful. Could you use the other fabric for the backing?

I think you've made some great choices! If I was making that for me I would go with the blue for the border that is so striking against the jelly roll fabrics.

I love making the SITP quilts and made four of them so far. Yours is going to be beautiful with these fabrics! It's going to be a "WOW" quilt! Personally, I'd go with citrus, but I want to throw a wrench into the works. I will rarely use a stripe in the border. It can be too much for the eyes and take your focus away from the center of the quilt, which is where you want the focus to be. But that's just me being my very opinionated self! Could you consider one of the other fabrics in the quilt in the color you like best? Whatever you decide my bet is on this becoming one of your very favorite quilts!

Michael Miller Siren Song Waves. Colors include navy, teal, aqua, turquoise, royal, mint and aquamarine. It will be sung by mermaids...

I like the Waves better also. I've never used stripes in my border, but love striped binding for some reason.

Thank you all for the comments. I always think of summer as bright colors and Simply Marks Summer fits the bill. I'm leaning towards the Waves since it has the cool colors to contrast with the brighter ones of the SMS but I still am drawn to the Citrus.

Both are a WOW.... I would choose whichever one will connect to the least used color in the quilt. Fo instance, if the quilt looks predominantly red, orange, yellow...with a bit of blue tossed in for a pop, I would use the Waves.

Really, you can't go wrong with either one... They are both gorgeous.
