I am thinking of getting one or two of them to try them out. Any recommendations? Have any of you read them and do you like them?

I've read them all and I love them. I have the first 17 here, but collected them after I had read them. I got them from the library when I was reading them.
reading them in order is recommended because in most of the books it is a new story but also a continuation from the last one.

Cyndi......I've read the first two books in the Quilter's Apprentice series. I really enjoyed them........I probably need to read them again now that I am quilting. Start with the 1st book so you will know the characters. Did you find some in the book sale books?![]()

Leonard: For God's sake, Sheldon, do I have to hold up a sarcasm sign every time I open my mouth?
Sheldon (intrigued): You have a sarcasm sign?
I spoke to someone at the guild meeting last night (yes I did) who had one and she said it was very good. I know our library has some and DH is heading there tonight to do some work for our Saturday book sale so I asked him to pick me up one or two to check them out. I didn't know if anyone here read them and liked them. Now I do!

I have read the first few and really liked them. I have also read a few quilt, murder mystery books by Terri Thayer. Death by rotary cutter, too funny!
To quilt or not to quilt?.....what a ridiculous question!
Check out all things quilty at my blog here: http://www.sassyquilter.com
I read a few of her books, and while they were nice they didn't really hold my attention. Cyndi, I am willing to give you mine if you want them.....shall we call it a belated birthday present?
I've never heard of these. I just went and look and our library has several. Going Friday and will check one out. Which one is the first one?
Be blessed,
Sandy

That is the first 4 books. I suggest you read them in order. Books | Elm Creek Quilts | Jennifer Chiaverini | NEW YORK TIMES Bestselling Author of the Elm Creek Quilts Novels This is her website. The books are posted newest to oldest, so you will have to start at the bottom of the page to get the list in order. Some of them are quilt pattern books, to make the blocks and quilts mentioned in the books.

I read the Giving Quilt. I liked it but not well enough to read any more in the series. It did contain a slice of life portrayal in the characterization, but I was hoping the book would have more about quilts and not every character's back story. It got laborious to read at times.
