Quilt Making and Community
While doing research about Genesis 1.1 I found this and printed it out be to share with my quilt club tonight. Now I would like to share it here:
Quilt making:
A piece of string, a scrap of fabric, an old button:
artifacts of a life,
insignificant in isolation,
together a story;
at once old and yet now unfolding.
Community:
An ending, a beginning, a dream unfolding:
milestones in a common life,
misunderstood in isolation,
together compelling;
we share the breadth of emotions this morning.
Together in our difference, we experience the sacred.
