I'm backkkkkk finally!

Hello my forum friends, I missed everyone so much.
Long story short I've been having a mess of problems the last few months ( actually since Christmas). My sister almost died and had emergency surgery, my nephew got hurt on the job, now he needs back surgery at only 22 yrs old :( ...I to have been super eill. I'm disabled and was doing pretty good pain wise until end of Dec. 2 breast cancer scares and just found another lump, and debilitating pain all over. Then just diagnosed with familia diabetes adult onset. Type 1 &2 run in my family type 1 more. So there testing me a bunch :( it ok cause I'm letting it go And giving it to God!
So needless to say I wasn't sewing at all and got depressed. Sooooo I decided (well DH said I need it) to start again...yay!
I'm so glad to be back, just ordered some stuff from M*QC to get me excited again (good reason to buy more fabric and goodies....lol

Hi Kandace, I'm Sheri from Utah and I must have joined just as you went MIA. It's nice to meet you. It sounds like you have really been through the 'wringer' lately. So sorry to hear of so much pain and sorrow for you. I'm glad you decided to come back and I look forward to getting to know you.

I really missed it here. I just finally got the last of the fabric and notions I had in the garage back into the house. But unfortunately my hubby bought me a cool ironing board (the one with a cutting mat on reverse side) for the table right before all the health issues started happening again. Well, someone came to help hubby dust and clean because MIL was coming to town from NJ. Lets just say she "misplaced" it ;( I'm hoping my DH finds it soon( now...lol)
I'm looking at the posts I've missed, it's hard trying to catch up.

Glad you are back! Quilting is wonderful therapy and it's so awesome that your husband realizes that. Can't wait to see what you create. :)

I can sympathize with you. I'm the caregiver for my disabled husb. who has a lot of medical/emotional problems. We both were sick with that nasty resp. bug & bronchitis in the spring & he got pneumonia. I didn't sew for 2 mos. Too weak. Sewing/quilting keeps me sane. It's something I can do while still being "present" & accessible to my hubby. I hope you feel better soon & the quilting restores your spirits. JCY
