Can't remember the name of a tool - or project
I've got a cart going so I can get today's DD - but I want one more item and cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. One of Jenny's daughters (I think) did a tutorial where you sewed together strips, and using a special triangle ruler, cut out a triangle, then flipped and cut again. So if your strip was RWB, one cut would have the point in R, and the next cut would have the point in B. Anyone have any clue what I'm talking about?

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I made a quilt that used a 60 degree angle ruler that made hexagons like this.

Could it be the 5" hexi template. Jenny did this quilt with jellyroll.

Y'all are the bestest ever!!!! It was summer in the park - I have another quilt I have designed, what I couldn't remember was the term strip tube, and when I watched summer in the park, I realized they did it with a square ruler, which I already have, so I just added fabric instead. I mean, what good is an order from M* without at least a charm pack?
Asta - OMG that quilt is absolutely amazing! What wonderful work!

We did a quilt similar with the hex n more ruler from jaybird quilts.
You sew 2 jelly roll strips together and then use the triangle tool to cut your triangles down your strip, then sew 3 sets of triangles together, to get a half hexi. We sewed all the half hexis together to make long strips and then sewed the strips together.

Ours was called science fair and is slightly different but has the same concept as the quilt above.

In the spring issue of QQ, they say to use a 12 1/2 square ruler for the Summer In The Park quilt. Is that what others have used to make the cuts?

I used a smaller one.... Probably a 9.5. The squares are smaller, but the effect Id's the same. You really can use any size you like. In fact, Natalie actually mentioned this in her tutorial.
