    Default Saved the block!

    Hi

I have managed to save my block. It is not perfect but it is good enough.

Before I unsewed it it was lacking a 1/4" on both sides of the row.
So in total I was 1/2" to short in the whole block row.

I picked out and sewed again with the most scant 1/4" I could get away with.

Here are some pictures of the misbehaving block.

It is the row on the right that was the problem

Of to bed in a much better mood.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Annika, that looks really good. My third quilt, and first BIG quilt was the Big Star quilt. I made the mistake of 'squaring' all my blocks to the size of the smallest one, and cut off all of my seam allowances in the process. No help for that, I stitched it all together without my pretty outside points, and my non-quilting sister loves it. My colors were very similar to your lovely block.

I am happy that I managed to save this block by resewing it.

I will work on this project this weekend and see how far I will get to completion.

I migh still need to get more backgrounds fabric for the sashing part but I wont know for sure until the top is done.

I have cut of some points on this star block but that is worth it since it now will fit in wiht the other blocks.

    Have a nice day
