Default Stop and start on projects ?!

    Hi

I am a bit annoyed at my self. I started the Big Star quilt project a while back. ( before summer )
And I had to stop working on it after 4 or 5 blocks due to the fact that I ran out on background fabrics.
Planning on doing 3 x 4 blocks quilt.

Placed an order to get more. It was sold out. But the shop sayed they will get more in a few weeks..It went on little more then a month befor I saw any fabrics.

Then it finaly arrives. I pick out my project, start to cut fabrics, Ironing, sewing,
Then some more ironing and cutting and sewing.
Then some %/(()&%¤#¤¤%&%&¤% and then some more ironging and messuraing and more &%&¤ and then some more messuaring.

It ends up with me being 1 block short from finishing the top.

I got one extra block that I am planning to rip apart and sew again beacuse I am now sewing much more accurate then I did then. At least I hope that it is in the seams and not in the cutting that the uneveness lays.

So I am right back where I started with one fabric short. And now I have to save up some cash before I can shop for more fabric so it will be put on hold once more. Grrr.

That is my evening in a nutshell!

Now I am going to watch Bonnie Hunters Quiltcam on youtube and sew my hexies!

Oh Annika, I've done that. Be glad that you can still get more fabric. Mine was an old fabric I had saved for the special pattern and then I miscut. I was so mad at myself. Can't even remember how I fixed it. Hang in there - better days are ahead.

That happened to me once, now I tend to buy a lot more fabric than I need for a quilt. It is frustrating when you run out!

So sorry for you dear Annika. Can you show us a picture from that fabric or do you have the name and producer of that fabric. Maybe someone has it and can send it to you? Dont give up. There will be a solution

At block of the month this past month, someone brought in a block they had done from a class last year. A lot of the blocks are similar to the ones in the BOM I am doing this year. In place of one of the blocks, they did a signature block, using pieces from the blocks (hopefully you might have some scraps?) then in the middle of it, they put the name of the quilt, their name and the year. It was embroidered and really looked nice.

My stitching or my cutting or both of them has changes since last time I worked on this project.,

    Does this happens to you?

You start a project and then let it rest and when you start up again your seams or picecs are diffrent from when you first started the project ?
