    Default Has anyone else noticed?

I'm thinking that EB, has noticed the fame and success that M* is achieving... all of a sudden I am getting a barrage of "quilt tute video" from QIAD!!! Me thinks perhaps the torch has been passed... I know there is always room for "more" quilting stuff!!!,,, but after watching Jenny for so long,,, I applaude the simplicity and straight forward conversation of her work and the genuine honesty..............Yes, the newest "hexi/tool" was good with Eleanor,,, but i'm a simple gal and love Jenny's style... (perhaps because she sews like me... no pins and trim if needed...... not for all, but Jenny, your my idol!!!! I hope Al can pass this along to the Doan family... keep up the good work.. I'm planning on coming to M* in a year or so,, when the "retreat" is up, running and whatever it costs will be fine by me!!! GB

I am getting a whole bunch of tutorial video links in my email daily. None of them come close to Jenny. I feel the same way about M*. Good things do happen to good people.

While Eleanor Burns has done a lot for quilting over the years and has some nice patterns/fabrics/tools out there. I just CAN NOT listen to her voice. It hits that pitch that makes me cringe all the way to my toenails.

I'm sticking with Jenny! You watch her tutorials and you feel that you can make what you see.

Hahaha..ok, I didn't know who EB was - so I googled her and watched a video. I happened upon an absolutely BEAUTIFUL pattern from her "Quick Trip" series but I do see what you mean about the voice. She seems like a very sweet person but - give me Jenny. LOL

Also - now I'm wondering if Jenny was mimicing her in the Jelly Roll Race tutorial when she throws that first 18" cut off of the strip away over her shoulder? I remember the first time I saw that video I thought I wasn't getting a little inside joke - and now that I've seen this EB video where she just tosses the scraps off on the floor I think I might finally be getting the humor.

I've always loved EB, I've done her Trip quilt many times and it's one of my all time favs. But, I relate more to Jenny and her videos are more relaxed and easy to follow. Jenny did a 2 for 1 quilt, quick and easy to follow. EB did a 2 for 1 quilt and I thought I go crazy by the end of the tutorial. It just wasn't for me. Plus, bless her heart, she seems to be stuck in the past on fabrics and colors. IMHO.

Ok, this is my thought on this; While I watched this new video I was thinking "I bet Jenny could do it better and no one would have to buy another template( think 5" half hexi placed on fold of fabric)

So it begs the question - Has Jenny coached EB?

EB's voice doesn't bother me at all. lol I guess I'm one of a few who doesn't mind it. I really do like Jenny. I've met her and feel she's just a great lady.

Yes, I see the same with Craftsy too. I became attached to Jenny because she was simple AND she wasn't a perfectionist. She gives you enough in the tute to actually do it on your own. I do watch QIAD, but sometimes there are huge gaps in the process. Often I have seen it done easier with Jenny!

Goooooo Missouri * and Jenny!! Rah Rah Rah! Lol!
