So it's been nearly 12mths since I moved here and started looking for some sort of patchwork or craft group to join. I've asked everywhere!!! Nope, there used to be this or that but they fizzled out. Had even got to the point of making enquiries at the local library to start one there, very lukewarm response. Believe me, I've stopped women everywhere here and no one knew....

Well we're in a pretty new house in a large estate and every day I drove past the quaint historic church not more than 300yds from our house. Sort of stands out as everything else here is new tho it has newer buildings on its property. So bored and curious I looked it up on the net, wanting to learn. Little more about the local history.

What's the first thing I see on their website?? Yup, a weekly craft group. At the church just up the road. Can someone slap me please??

So yesterday I went and joined. And made new friends. And had a ball. How many times have I driven past while they were merrily stitching away inside. Really, slap me!!!
