I realy like the quilt behind Jenny!

    It feels like summer!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

The quilt is pretty, and I like the pattern. Another one going on my to-do-list.

    Thanks for the link!

At about 9.00 on the video what is that pin cushion with attached bag that Jenny puts near the sewing machine? (I know what the pin cushion is for but the bag?) I've noticed it in the background on other videos.

Finally a question, I think I can answer with some certainty (still a newbie).....went for my one on one training Wednesday morning on my new Janome 6600P.....the sewing & vac shop (LQS) where I purchased my new "baby" has these at every demo machine. Obivously, there is the pincushion and the "bag" part is for loose threads, itty bitty pieces of fabric that has been trimmed etc.... Sort of like a really small trash bag. Does that make sense?? The ones at my LQS are obviously made by someone.... all are different & really cute....there must be a pattern out there somewhere.

I have one of those. It is for your scraps of thread and bits of fabric as you are sewing, and snipping threads, etc.

The last few Jenny tuts I've seen have REALLY made me appreciate chain piecing. I have wasted so much time not embracing this earlier. Now I can understand how some can 'knock out' a quilt top faster than it takes me to put together a Sunday dinner! WOOHOO!
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....
